Helle is a freelance interpreter and translator with over 25 years’ experience. She works extensively with the HM Courts & Tribunals Service, the Metropolitan Police Service and other UK police forces and law enforcement agencies, and she also delivers services across the Norwegian and British shipping, energy, technology, and hospitality sectors. Helle is a full member of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters, holds a Diploma in Translation from CIOL, is a Chartered Translator as well as a Sworn Translator (Norway). Before joining the language sector she worked at senior level in the hospitality industry, and offers the multicultural skills and awareness needed for international business environments as well as public entities.
Helle takes a particular interest in corporate governance and improving diversity on boards, and has undertaken Non-Executive Director training at the Institute of Directors. She is a strong believer in the sharing of experiences, and is a keen advocate of registration and regulation of language practitioners to ensure best practice.
